Company description:: A group of quilting enthusiasts across the country, spearheaded by Rochelle Baisch of American Falls, Idaho, has united via the Internet to create memorial quilts to honor the US Service men and women who have been killed in action in the fight against terrorism. The volunteer group intends to create a quilt block for each military person killed in action during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. The blocks will be inscribed with the name, rank, branch of service, age, and date of death of each of these fallen heroes. Once assembled, the quilts will be made available for display at various locations across the country, including military bases, state capitals, etc. The group currently needs additional volunteers to help create quilt blocks or to donate money for supplies and other expenses. See the website at www.kiamemorialquilt.com for further information. |
