TCF.NET PRESENTS EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS OF PRESIDENT BUSH VISITING 9/11 MEMORIAL GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY
Web Site Features Up-Close Chronicle of Historic Event with Families of 9/11 Victims
EAST MEADOW, NY (March 30, 2004) – New York-based web site TCF.NET is announcing a collection of more than 50 photos chronicling the historic visit of President George W. Bush to East Meadow, New York, to attend a groundbreaking ceremony for a new memorial to the Long Island victims of September 11. The site features numerous high-quality images of Bush meeting with firefighters, police, and family members of 9/11 victims during the Nassau County 9/11 Memorial Foundation Groundbreaking Ceremony on March 11. Also in attendance were former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, New York Governor George Pataki, Nassau County Executive Thomas Suozzi, and other dignitaries.
“The ceremony was solemn, people are still healing” commented TCF.NET Publisher, administrator and photographer Richard Brill. “No speeches where made. First there was a moment of silence. Then the bagpipes played for hours as the President and other dignitaries expressed their condolences, gave hugs, and signed autographs for the family and friends of victims of 9-11 from Nassau County. I was tremendously gratified to have the opportunity to capture and chronicle the day’s events in a large, comprehensive set of photos for TCF.NET.”
Many of the images in Brill’s photo essay are exclusive shots, with captions describing the identities of the participants and attendees at this remarkable event.
The photos are available free of charge for use by nonprofit organizations and with the permission of Richard Brill for use in publications.
