The Miami start-up represents various Israeli groups that are prominent in counter-terrorism in a nation that has long suffered from terror. SSI has an exclusive marketing agreement with the Israel College of Security, one of Israel's most prominent training institutes. Drawing on that know-how, the company aims to bring this to the US Homeland Security effort and the corporate market.
" We are taking the opportunity to introduce what we know into South Florida through the seminars", says Henry Morgenstern, SSI President, "but eventually we will be training throughout the entire country. Morgenstern has lived in Israel for twenty years and developed top-level defense connections. The Greater Ft. Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the seminar in Broward. Everyone knows the importance of having know-how in case the unthinkable happens.”
The company not only deals in preventing Suicide bombers. They are also the only company in the country with a course for Helicopter Pilots. " Every one knows that the helicopter is the primary form of transportation for getting to an incident," says Sol Bradman, Director of Aviation, a Pilot with thousands of hours of fixed wing and rotor experience, “ but no one was doing anything about Helicopter’s role in Homeland Security. We have now had interest from corporate groups that transport VIP's as well as the Airborne Law Enforcement Association. We also deal in maritime security and corporate aircraft besides helicopters."
The seminar will give participants a background in the different methods employed by different groups, help them to understand what an effective protective policy might look like, and give considerable detail about actual incidents that have occurred in Israel. The events have a limited amount of places and will be sold-out quickly. Participation in the day-long event costs $295.00 including breakfast and lunch.
