Since going public with a free subscription offer a few weeks ago, the Bald Eagle Press has realized a surge in interest from military families. The daily “photo news” feature offers extensive coverage from the fronts in Afghanistan and Iraq. Many photos identify soldiers by branch and unit, and quite often, their individual names. Apparently, the photos are quickly forwarded to email addresses throughout military communities. The service presents articles from around the world with a noticeable “Pro American” slant, but carefully avoids the realm of politics from either side of the aisle.
